Hi, am just back from the Bupa Great South run in Portsmouth. Brilliant field of elite athletes including the likes of Catherine Ndereba, Benita Willis & others. I was not able to put in the kind of performance i wanted and really battled in the blustery gale force winds! It was tough and the last 2miles were straight into a headwind. Just as well Portsmouth has pebble beaches and not sand!! Back training now for the Xiamen Half marathon in China - an opportunity that has been provided to me by the Etekweni Municipality. |

Thanks for all the wishes!! Can't help feeling disappointed over my performance in Berlin - especially after that training camp I endured in Potch for 10weeks!! I so badly wanted a personal best on that course. Anyway that is behind me now and I am looking forward to a couple of shorter races for the rest of 2009. |
