Study Finds the Role of Dopamine in Parkinson’s Disease, Drug Addiction August 10th, 2008 D. James Surmeier, the Nathan Smith Davis Professor and chair of physiology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, says that a study has revealed that dopamine strengthens and weakens the two primary circuits in the brain that control behaviour.
