Thank you J.P. for showing some integrity in this era of massive cheating and corruption in sports, politics, business, education, etc.. It's good to see there are people like you still around who favor character over charisma. Way to go.

I feel the same as the last person who commented--I'm not that interested in golf at all, but seeing a professional athlete (or anyone, for that matter) act with such integrity reminds us of how we all should be acting. Good for him; not maybe people can do the right thing when money's on the line.

I don't even like golf....and until today I didn't know who J.P. Hayes was. But if I had an extra $7 million, I'd give it to him just to thank him for being such a stand up guy. Honesty goes a loooooooooooooong way.

In a world of professional sports figures acting for their own self interests, it is refreshing to know that J.P. Hayes has the personal and professional integrity to be honest with himself and the game he loves and plays. I have a set of J.P. Hayes' old clubs. They are the wooden driver and fairway woods and blade irons with stickers around the shaft of each club saying " J.P. Hayes Butte Des Morts C.C." Would he want these for his collection?
