I cannot believe the U.S. soccer federation has not addressed Bradleys' (dad) overt nepotism. Bradley's kid and Ricardo Clark for example have consistently played terribly. Their positions demand players with field vision, athleticism, generalship, and football IQ; All of which they lack. Are you telling me this is the best that we have at this position in the United States? If this is so, then we are in a great deal of trouble if we expect to make any waves in S.A. Bradley makes way too many mistakes and both he and Rico seem like they don't want the ball and are unable to "create", a prerequisite for the position. Offensively, these two guys stagnate the U.S. attack, and unltimately prevent the offensive attack from evolving to begin with. We have some other issues (defensively, for one), but let's begin with these crucial "quarterback" type of positions that need to be immediatey addressed. If you think I'm off base, go back and look at the tapes of their play over the WCQ's alone. Other than Bradley's February's goals vs. Mexico and Clark's T&T goal they have been unable to control the ball for any decent stretch of time. The U.S. needs to be able to control play and "create" if we are going to have any hopes. We have some world class finishers and playmakers, but we need midfielders that can complement their play, not stagnate it. Since we're not going to get rid of coach Bradley, then he needs to be pressured into benching his son and Clark, cause he's refused to do so to date, even with their weak play. And, I'm being nice with the adjectives I use to describe Michael Bradley's play. He's an inmature, undisciplined, inconsistent player that quite frankly lacks the talent to play with the big boys. If we can strengthen our midfield (Torres, Jones, Edu, etc) by addessing the nepotism coach Bradley stubbornly and even arrogantly practices in choosing who plays, I believe the U.S. can get through the group stage and make some teams a little nervous about the prospect of playing a strong U.S. side. No one really fears us right now and the "fluke" comments permeate the world of football. Let's get some guys with real talent and some balls!!!

totally agree, there is no other midfielder that can take his position! hes the best midfielder we currently have other than donovan, and he's hot!

'Scuse me, but I was under the impression that this was a FAN blog. Thats what it says at the top, so you haters can just take your complaints somewhere else. Michael Bradley is a beastly midfielder with a nose for the goal. He's just the thing that the U.S. needs. I actually can't think of a single other player that could take his place at center mid.

Plus he turns over way too many balls. Get that kid off the field. Just because you play on the men's national team doesn't mean you belong there.

Michael Bradley sucks because he has no vision of the field. He has no agility and clogs up the middle. He will attack opposing players but once he is beat he is too slow to get back. I can't believe he plays such a crucial position and is incapable to distribute the ball. This guy is awful! I can't believe the U.S. can't find a better player to take this position.
