The host for X factor 2011 is horrible!  I can do a better job than that.  My 4 year old can do a better job than him. Where the heck did Simon find him?  Were they desperate?  Anyone in the US is better than him.  It's like torture watching him.  He really ruins the show.  I almost don't want to watch because of him.  He has no personality.  He has no charm.  He is rude and not authentic!

The guy does have a personality and is completely different on uk tv. He's obviously been told exactly how to act and had to tone down his accent which has turned into some strange American welsh hybrid. But thats not his fault, it's Americas for being so inwards thinking that people can't understand an accent unless it's American or posh southern British. Quite pathetic really that Cheryl cole was kicked off the judges panel because they thought you would lack the ability to understand her! Laughable.

All I have to say is WOW... He's soo horrible at this job it's almost a little funny, except that the joke is on us because there he is week, after week, after week and we can't get rid of him..... I like how when everyone else on the show has compassion he is like "get the F off the stage so I can wrap this up!!!" I like how when rachel crow was dropping to her knees marcus canty bent down to console her but Steve Jones is like "GO YOUR SAFE" and then marcus is like "what the F?" Thankfully it looks like Simon is getting frustrated with him too so looks like his days are numbered.... In no particular ORDA steve jones you're out of here to join brian dunkleman as host never to make it and be forgotten about.... Get seacrest or cannon on this now...

Steve Jones is the most annoying host I have ever seen, he is rude to the hosts and doesnt even give them time to make a comment. They should manage the time better on the show to give ample time for Judges to speak their minds. He also is arrogant and his voice is also very annoying and fake. No comparison to Seacrest.

The guy is Welsh and has an awful, aggresive and patronising accent that would be uncomprehendable if he didn't alter it to this monotone drag. In the UK he never really got past kids TV and is not known to the majority.  Simon assumed the US would like his looks; but again, he's stringy and not built well and only sexy from the neck up. The tone of  his voice is HORRIBLE. I generally like U.K. accents, but Jones sounds like he is announcing a boxing match, not hosting a singing competition. I can barely get through the show. I may stop watching if he doesn't change to a more natural tone.

Steve Jones has no business hosting x factor. Simply put, he is annoying and his accent rubs me the wrong way.  Especially when he says Twitter. Its more like "Twit-ta"  I think he is just too nerdy and I mean this honestly...The confused look on his face makes it look like there is something stuck up his butt.  I like the show, but will not watch next season if he is still host.

Steve Jones doesn't seem to care about or connect with the contestants let alone the audience. Jones gives the impression he thinks the show is a joke ( only we the audience should have that prerogative). Not cool to be condescending on live TV to those responsible for your income. Even though the X Factor is over produced and the judges egos are through the roof; it is still a very entertaining show thanks to the talent. What makes this show hard to watch and why it lacks in comparison to it's main competition is the host. I understand this is a difficult job but Steve Jones comes across as a drill sergeant. He is not likeable at all. When he does smile and compliment. it comes across as scripted. Pay Seacrest whatever he wants if you want this show to have the longevity as American Idol or find an American host with a sense of humour and charisma. Do not renew his contract......

Not even because I'm comparing him to Ryan Secrest who was dynamic, personable,a conversationalist and compassionate, but Steve Jones is absolutely AWFUL! He is dull and boring; almost monotone. But what makes me really hate him is the way he hurries the judges and cuts them off from their reviews. Rude, and totally inappropriate, I'm sure there were many times when Ryan had to hurry them along, but it NEVER seemed nasty and blatant like this guy Steve Jones. Extremely rude! He ALWAYS speeds up and interupts the judges... Not very good at presenting. Rather cut your speech shorter and give them more time. Most people don't even know him!
