Michael Carrick is unfortunately a terribly poor player for a team like manchester united. His shooting his horrible, his tackling is rare and weak, his work rate is poor, he's physically slow, his dribbling is rare, he sucks at strength (look at how he cost MU a goal last week when defending a corner against tottenham, he didnt even jump for such a tall player). Seriously, his general play is so limited, what can he do other than make simple passes? only once in awhile his long ball actually works. He's damn overrated. Thats why MU always have to play a 5 man midfield. and the thing i get upset the most, is when the going gets tough (MU trailing or drawing) he disappears in the game and gets bullied.
