Joel, I've got a prospect in the milwaukee area..... Mike Bradshaw....HAHA :) JK How's it going Joel? Congrats on all the success! I was in Elmira at that placement camp b4 your brother went for the main camp. Tough league, but fun as hell. Hope you and Mark continue to succeed and maybe we can run that camp at the pettit someday. Hopefully I'll see you around.

Joel, congrats, not many twenty one year olds can ever say they played in the National Hockey League, especially the way you did it... But I think your a great role model for kids aspiring to reach their destiny. Keep trucking young fella

Your pal,

Curtis

Congratulations Joel. You made al of us here in St. Ignace, Michigan proud when we heard you made it to the NHL. While you were here playing with the Northern Michigan Black Bears in the Jr. A League (NOJHL) we enjoyed every minute you played and you were a very pleasant and polite guy at that. All my best to you chum and I look forward to seeing you when you take on the Red Wings on Mar 27th, 2009. Your ole friend Kevin from the former Black Bears. You can reach me at my email (kevin.campbell17@ymail.com). Hope to here from you soon friend and again congrats and a job well done. The very best of luck in the NHL. If possible when we come to see you in Detroit, could we get down to talk to you?. Sure hope so. Take care chum....

Joel, you'r living the dream! Some Brookfield people will be at the Blackhawks game on the 15th. I have to say I was going down as a Hawks fan, but now I may have to support the local guy. I'm sure those Chicago people won't mind see a former Wisconsinite knocking their players around. Congrats!

Hockey is a changing sport that no longer has the need for enforcers and fighting. It is not a game of skill and finess. but good luck i guess

this is an amazing accomplishment joel, it truly shows that your work ethic is insane.. I mean look at where you came from! You played 1 year of major junior and went pro the next year full time and then got called up to the ahl and then sent down and then called up for the rest of the year and now you just signed a 3 year deal with the New York Islanders, I remember when people used to tell me you wouldnt go anywhere and I just said to those people, you wait and see that joel kid doesnt have quit in his vocabulary, and you dont and this is why you rise to the top with everything you do joel, congrats on making those fools who doubted you look like complete assholes! You are a legend in my book, especially with what you have done, you are 20 years old! This is something else.. Goodluck this year my friend and keep in touch!

Your friend,

David from the gym!
