First of all, let me straighten out some of the rumors going around. Brett supposedly has a small bone spur somewhere on his left elbow. Good news is that is not what is causing his difficulty. He has not had Tommy John surgery and most likely not need Tommy John surgery. Right now he is re-habbing in Orlando at the fall instructs. He threw 30 pitches from the mound last Thursday and had no pain at all. He is scheduled to throw again on Tuesday and probably again later in gthe week. The Braves will then look at any problems that may arise from these bullpen sessions and make a decision along with Brett to take care of those problems, if any occur, before next season. Brett states that his arm feels fine and that he hopes this is all behind him. Mr. DeVall |
