Truly the only douche bag is you! Obviously your in the stands watching and most likely sucked yourself so you're taking it on a kid who is succeeding. As far as stats, I'm sure your just looking at the average. Look at all the categories dumb shit!

Just this evening we had the pleasure of meeting Steven.  He was helping his former coach with a Fall Ball practice for 13 & 14 year olds.  He couldn't have been nicer.  In fact, he made such an impression, we got online as soon as we got home to learn more.  That is how we found this board.  My son will now be following Steven's career - not only because of his skills but his character.

The title of this forum is "Steven Souza Sucks". The original poster bagged on him cuz he couldn't get an autograph that he could add to his collection of 50,000 baseball cards (get a life). The rest of the postings have pretty much proven that Souza is a good kid who takes plenty of time to sign for the fans and even spends personal time volunteering for the local community. Then there were posters who bagged on him for errors on the field. He's an infielder! It happens, and you learn from it. The team management told him to stop worrying about the errors and just play his game. He's had one hell of a great year in 2010 and made the All Star team.         ...'Nuff said.

Steven Souza is a wonderful person - extremely nice and polite and generous; he's also a very good athlete - his hitting has improved tremendously from last year to this--he takes his 'job' of baseball very seriously--he's still not quite 21 - quit the Souza bashing.  I agree with a former comment - you're pissed cause he's out there doing what you would like to do but can't!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 13 Apr 2010 23:44:56 GMT
I love Steven Souza, just last year he was one of the only players to sign a ball for my daughter. I think he has potential. Fans make fun of him and I think it only helps him get better! Give the guy some credit!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 24 Mar 2010 20:31:50 GMT
He must have a political link to this organization, I can not believe his lack of performance or the many error's he makes. On top of all that he thinks he is a badass.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 24 Mar 2010 01:40:41 GMT
Souza is a heck of an athlete and should be given another couple of years before he is really jugded by anyone. His work ethic is impecable and he always strives to be better. I think this season you all will see him and how his play is going to change and only for the better.

Steven is a good guy and great player. I went to high school with him and actually went to a party with him tonight and he is still super humble. Everyone needs to grow up and stop hating on people because they have accomplished something you never could have.

souza did not get drafted for his prodution right now. He is a good kid with plus upside. He has plus tools, strong arm, good pop, good body, work ethic. Student of the game. He is only 20! Give him another year or two before you judge him.

"just a rude punk kid who doesnt understand that the game is about the fans as well..."

What in Hell are talking about? Young Mr. Souza has stood in there and signed tons of cards for fans, mostly for kids. He also is of good enough character to volunteer to read to children and sign autographs at local library's, on his own time, when most young guys his age (probably including your kid) are sitting on a couch playing vid's.  As I recall, young Mr. Souza had a really tough series against the Spikes and very likely felt that he let his team down. Is he then supposed to stand in front of the world and sign cards like is some star in front of his team?  The kid clearly has his head on straight and is showing the class and character we all want to see in ball players. Because you didn't get a signature you could run home with and sell on e-bay means you are the selfish one not him.

Don't you have anything better to do then bitch about Souza not signing a baseball card. I have seen him sign many cards for kids! If you don't know the sport then shut the hell up! Players have bad days and don't like to be bothered sometimes, you just have to deal with it. I'm sure every person you have asked to sign a card does just that. If your answer is yes, then your a LIAR! Leave them alone and stop being a punk yourself, its their job their doing and are trying their best to succeed. NATS FAN . . . .

Souza did sign some cards - don't know if this is true or not but I heard it was only just one card (don't know which one) that his "agent would not let him sign."  Anyone know why this would be, please chime in.
