Ahhhh teddy's girlfriend is a sweetie. I don't think she is bleached blonde.. she is swedish they all have naturally white hair lol. I see jacob hanging with her so maybe that is her. Post the pic. He makes eye contact with you? Lucky. Hook it up! Haha

I have a pic I took with Jacob and a friend of his, she was a very friendly blonde. I don't know if she is a gf or just friend. He is for sure a sweet guy though, always says hi when he sees me and bye and makes eye contact before he leaves. Just a pleasure to be around.

Nothing is voice dubbed, all the movies are in English with Swedish subtitles just like on TV. Most commercials for international companies are in English (Hey we wanted to strangle that Dell Dude a few years back too....). The only voice-dubbing that's being done is children's movies like Disney Cartoons and stuff like that. And even then they are showed both in original and vociedubbed so you can choose.

Sweden is also one of the most connected countries in the world. High speed internet has been available to like 90% of the population since 1997. I think that has helped the nations English skills...

I've also noticed a change in the last 10 years that most young people read books in English rather than the translated version. For instance I don't know anyone who read Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Twilight in Swedish.

Actually it doesn't have much to do with where in Sweden you are from.

Like most northern Europeans Swedes have to start learn English as soon as you start school, and then a third language (like Spanish or French).

We also mainly watch American or British television and movies. Imagine having like 40 TV-channels and 35 of them were Spanish... and just the really boring ones were in English and even then mainly broadcasting Spanish programs (with subtitels).

I wonder how jacob knows perfect english?? Like I took spanish in school but if I went to spain I would be lost. And teddy doesn't speak english that great but jacob hardly even speaks with a swedish accent. I remember when I met him a girl vtold him he had a "sexy accent" and he smiled and said "thanks, its swedish" but the way he said it was so cute ugh. And he blushed haha!
