Mats grown up in a big way the last couple of years everything is in front of him. He was a handfull in high school to deal with off the baseball diamond but absolutely 100 per cent want to win when he had the ball in his hand.

He will mature and become an oustanding pitcher...maybe the Padres need to get him and the rest of the young staff some people tp provide run support.

I enjoyed coaching him.

Who really cares?  While he may be a stud on the mound, he's a child-like moron who needs to grow up.  His teammates can't stand him.

Mat Latos has all the talent in the world. His poise on the mound and positive attitude are most impressive. He has more than just physical tools. He knows how to pitch like a veteran. Latos' girlfriend was pointed out to me at a Rays game in St. Petersburg.  She is a beautiful and poised young woman and he is lucky to have her!  Best of luck to them both!
