Eighth-seeded Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic came back to defeat Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 in the Cachantun Cup quarterfinals on Friday. Zakopalova struggled to grind down Dominguez Lino until the third set when she broke her five times and allowed the Spaniard to win only nine points on her own serve. Dulko and Kostanic Tosic withdraw from Vina del Mar
Gisela Dulko, number 2 seed at the new red clay Cachantun Cup in Vina del Mar, Chile, has withdrawn because of a left hamstring injury she sustained during her first round. Also withdrawing was Jelena Kostanic Tosic has also withdrawn. Petra Cetkovska upset third-seeded Emilie Loit 6-2, 7-6 (6) Monday at the Cachantun Cup, the first WTA event in Chile.
